ABOUT US

We are a family business which was started in April 1959 by Philip Bernard Chapman. This was a bolt on to his hardware business in Watergate Lane Leicester.

The company expanded in the 1970’s taking on commercial and industrial contracts.

The family business continued when his eldest son Tim, joined the partnership in 1980.

In 1983 the company joined the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC). This partnership has now lasted over 40 years and ensures a first class quality installation constantly monitored by the NICEIC team of inspectors.

In 1998 the company moved to its existing location alongside its sister company The Light House, Leicester's leading independent lighting retailer, on Hinckley Road in Leicester.
